 The start of a Journey.

We're in the planning phases. CLDs are on the way. Stella is being booted up.
Here at Gamification Schenanigans we're aiming for 100% project transparency.
Therefore we will be using this place to discuss every step of the way.
Including but not limited to: the tools that we use, ideas and theories that we will or will not end up using (sidequests) and, just some good ol' down-to-earth banter from your favorite app developers (us).

Exciting upcoming blog posts include: Gudbrand's CLD paint.net-ventures, Tobias' politically charged rants on how apps will secretly secrete their agendas into our minds, Mads will document his custom operating system that he has tailored for the most efficient flowchart production rates. I (Jarle) will be puffing his jeeb from start to finish while juggling three greased bowling balls (you'll be looking forward to it).

Right now the steak I'm serving you (in text form) isn't very juicy. To reiterate: we're in the planning phases. The more exciting stuff to come. Because in the end, life is a cook-show that we're all hosting together.

  Blogpost Table   Before we can make a CLD we have to have a table, so I sat down and did just that. First, I made the table for the gamification CLD. The game is inspired by rpg-games so we had to have a leveling system The players “Level” is therefor the first item. But now we need a way to gain levels. We get levels when we “Complete tasks” and earn exp (experience points), this is an action. When we level up, we unlock more difficult tasks. “Task Difficulty” is a control because it will control how likely the player is to complete a task. Our ide was to have a daily task and maybe some smaller tasks every day so we have to store our tasks in the item “Available Tasks” and to replenish the tasks we have the action “Give new task”; I then made the table for the learning CLD. The table this tame is the same but with a 3 rd item. “Cooking skills and knowledge” is a measure of the skills and knowledge acquired through completing cooking tasks in our app. The las...
